Accreditation
Our Centre participates in the National Quality Improvement and Accreditation System. This focuses on the standard of care and education that actually exists in every registered Australian long day care centre, and aims to ensure that all children are provided with stimulating, positive experiences and interactions that nurture all aspects of a child’s development.
The system is underpinned by 7 Quality Areas:
- Staff Relationships with Children and Peers
- Partnerships with Families
- Programming and Evaluation
- Children’s Experiences and Learning
- Protective Care and Safety
- Health, Nutrition and Wellbeing
- Managing to Support Quality
Our staffing team are continually reflecting on Centre practices and procedures, and in partnership with families, children and committee members, strive to create an environment that supports and values quality care.
We were last accredited in June 2006, obtaining a High Quality rating over all seven quality areas.
Further information on Quality Assurance can be found at our centre on the notice board in the foyer or go to: www.ncac.gov.au
