Possums
Our Possum room caters for children aged from 18ths to 3 years and is licensed for up to 20 children, with 4 permanent staff.
The children in this area use two conjoined rooms, one of which leads out to an adjacent outdoor courtyard.
Their nappy change facilities include child size toilets and hand basins to support independence and self esteem.
Each child has a personal portfolio that records samples and photos of their “work”(play), along with developmental observations and plans.
A room program is mounted on the wall that records some of the activities occurring that day and those children who enjoyed participating in them.
As with all rooms, carers are happy to report on each child’s day to families on collection, and are available to discuss individual children with their families in greater depth at a mutually suitable time.
