Koalas & Wombats
Our infant room caters for up to 15 children aged from six weeks to 18mths, with three permanent staff members. Children in this room have their own outdoor play area, two sleep rooms and two nappy change facilities.
Families and carers use individual communication books to share information about each particular child. A room program is mounted on the wall that records some of the activities occurring that day and those children who enjoyed participating in them.
Each child has an individual portfolio that records samples and photos of their “work”(play), along with developmental observations and plans.
As with all rooms, carers are happy to report on each child’s day to families on collection, and are available to discuss individual children with their families in greater depth at a mutually suitable time.
